ABSTRACT NAME DESIGN

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Abstract Name Design was the project that kicked off our 9th grade year. It allowed Miss Meredith to learn our names and to learn about our abilities.
PROCESS
I was given a slip of art paper and I started by writing my name across the page. I had a vision of what I wanted my final product to look like, so I started zen doodling across the entire page. I used a box cutter to slice through the top layer, cutting away some portions of my design and leaving others.
FINAL PRODUCT
In the final product, the cut-away portions of my design reveal the black bottom layer of the paper. The design is intricate, but when I look closely, I can still see my original name. I am very proud of my work because I think it shows my originality and creativity.
